The Hoover Windtunnel 2 Full House Reward Upright Vacuum (model UH71250) is getting fairly average reviews and ratings from the owners. Also, the power cord is a bit short when auto-retracting which can be frustrating when cleaning a large area. On the plus side, it excels at pet hair removal and is a relatively affordable vacuum cleaner. It also comes with a HEPA filter that includes a layer of carbon for odor elimination.

What are the owners saying?
A detailed analysis of the owner’s comments and insights provides the following common UH71250 pros and cons:
- Retractable power cord
- Works well on pet hair
- Reasonable price
- Hose long
- A little heavy
- Short power cord
Perhaps the strongest feature of this emptiness is that sucking. Is it good or bad? Many owners say that the suction is very strong and the machine has great pickup, but several people have reported poor breastfeeding. It does not appear that it is just people with different ideas about what good suction is, but rather that some machines appear to be sucking less than others.
Hoover suggests that poorly sucked machines could result in dirty filters or possibly curling up somewhere along the airway of the vacuum. The vacuum manual at the bottom of this article probably provides some guidelines for its remedy.
Brushroll and height controls
The on/off controls of the hoover vacuum uh71250 (controlled via a foot paddle) a motorized brush roll. This enables you to perform vacuums on carpets and blank floors. The carpet is usually emptied with a brush roll (to loosen dust and debris and help pull it out) and the blank floor is emptied with the brush roll-off (ensuring no scattering and in some cases no shaking on the fragile floor).
There are 5 different height settings available via the dial located at the top of the vacuum nozzle (see figure below). This setting increases and decreases the nozzle allowing it to set an effective cleaning height for different floor surfaces allowing 1 set for hard floors and settings 2 to 5 for carpets (2 for low pile carpets and 5 for maximum pile carpets).
Note: We have noticed that for carpets deeper than 1 inch, Hoover recommends turning off the brush roll. Like carpet, it is deeply understood which can cause damage to the brush roll.
Windtunnel and cyclonic technology
This vacuum is known as Hoover Windtunnel 2 technology. The company is a bit vague about this particular technology but 2 is obviously for sucking 2 channels. They also point out that there is only 1 channel in common wind tunnel technology. Does this “technology” really help with the ability to clean up?
Okay, theoretically it creates some sort of feeling to spread the disc even more evenly across the nozzle through multiple suction channels but we couldn’t see or read the actual evidence of further cleaning results.
The hoover vacuum uh71250 is bagless and uses something called cyclonic technology (in this case they have 2 cyclones so it is called multi-cyclonic technology). And the debris is forced – through centralized forces – and enters the dustbin.
Cyclone technology helps keep filters longer clean and because it fills the dust canister (no suction can be significantly reduced when a bag is filled were plenty of bags can leave a pile as opposed to a vacuum).
Hoover WindTunnel 2 has two filters for the whole house rewind. A pre-motor filter and an HPA filter (motor post). The pre-motor filter should be cleaned every 2 months, probably with repeatable and normal household use. The HPA filter cannot be washed/rinsed so when the filter is dirty only dust and debris should be tapped on top of a dustbin.
Hoover reports that the HPA filter was designed for a vacuum (3 years) warranty period before replacement. The HPA filter has a carbon layer that absorbs odors. This is a great feature in families including pets and even smokers.

Frequently Asked Questions on Hoover Vacuum
Are Hoover vacuums any good?
Hoover offers more models at different price points than Dyson. Dyson’s small vacuum line is usually high-end and expensive. . In general, Dyson vacuums offer more clean cleaning in our experiments. Still, Hoover could create a better budget option.
Is the Hoover WindTunnel 2 a good vacuum?
Hoover Windtunnel 2 Full House Rewind A satisfactory overall steep upright vacuum with limited interference and a few features. While it performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpets, it fights a bit more with small and large debris on high pile carpets.
Is Bissell or Hoover better?
Summary. If you want a carpet cleaner that can clean light pet stains like urine on the carpet, the Hoover model is enough. The Hoover is the best carpet vacuum cleaner. If you win a Bissell, you’re going to have to clean and vomit regularly with hand tools.
Although more new models are now available, the hoover vacuum uh71250 WindTunnel 2 Hole House Rewind still offers the full price for a very modest price. My suggestion is to fill this void while they are still available.
